These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Decision Book, developed by Srihan Bongula ("we," "our," or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using Decision Book ("the app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the app.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Decision Book for personal, non-commercial purposes on iOS devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and the Apple App Store Terms of Service.
You may not:
Decision Book and all related content, features, and functionality — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, UI design, written guides, and software — are owned by Srihan Bongula and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners. Decision Book is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any college, university, ranking publication, scholarship organization, testing organization, or government agency referenced in the app.
Anything you enter into Decision Book — your profile data, saved colleges, notes, and any other content you create — remains yours. Because Decision Book stores user content only on your device and never uploads it to any server, we generally do not receive, process, or have access to your content at all.
In the rare case that you voluntarily share content with us (for example, by attaching a screenshot to a support email), you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use that content solely for the purpose of responding to your request and improving the app.
Decision Book is offered free of charge. It contains no subscriptions, no in-app purchases, and no advertising. We do not charge you for anything inside the app.
Optional features (such as downloading an upgraded on-device language model) may use your device's storage and mobile data bandwidth, but we never charge you for them. If you download an optional model over a cellular connection, your mobile carrier may charge you for the data used; that is between you and your carrier.
You are solely responsible for all decisions, actions, and outcomes resulting from your use of the app. Decision Book provides research, organizational, and productivity tools for educational purposes only.
You acknowledge that you are responsible for reviewing and verifying all data, calculations, suggestions, and outputs generated by the app before relying on them for any educational, admissions, financial, or other significant decision.
Decision Book stores all profile data locally on your device. There is no cloud backup, no server sync, and no cross-device sync. If you delete the app, lose your device, or your device is damaged, your Decision Book profile data will be lost. You are responsible for writing down or screenshotting any information you want to keep outside the app.
We are not liable for any loss of profile data, saved colleges, notes, or any other information stored within the app.
Decision Book uses on-device language models to generate suggestions, summaries, and qualitative guidance about colleges, majors, and admissions. These outputs are generated by software running on your device and may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unsuitable for your specific situation.
You should independently verify any AI-generated output before relying on it, particularly when making admissions, financial, or other significant decisions. Decision Book does not provide professional admissions counseling, financial advice, legal advice, or any other professional advice.
Decision Book displays information about colleges, majors, scholarships, summer programs, admissions strategies, and related topics for research and educational purposes only. This information is compiled from public data sources and general guidance; it is not a substitute for official information from the institutions involved.
Specifically, Decision Book does not guarantee:
Always confirm admissions requirements, deadlines, financial aid information, AP credit policies, and scholarship details directly with the relevant institutions before taking action. When the information in the app differs from the information on the institution's official website, trust the institution.

Decision Book is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate, reliable, or free of harmful components. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total liability of Decision Book, Srihan Bongula, and any affiliates for any claims arising out of or relating to your use of the app shall not exceed the greater of:

Under no circumstances shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, loss of saved colleges, business interruption, missed admissions deadlines, rejected applications, or any financial loss arising from your use of or inability to use the app.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Srihan Bongula and Decision Book from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the app, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
We may terminate or suspend your access to Decision Book at any time, without prior notice, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. You can terminate your use of the app at any time by uninstalling it from your device. Upon termination, your right to use the app will immediately cease; sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (such as liability limitations and intellectual property) will continue to apply.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the app shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Georgia.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced inside the app or on this website. Your continued use of Decision Book after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms.
